Althesal, a Human from the planet Thel, has been fascinated since her youth by the legends of the Aïdin Planets. No one truly knows how these worlds looked, yet that doesn’t stop her from dreaming about them. The Legends merely describe them as rare, garden-like paradises from the Age before Humans appeared in Space. Their creators were enigmatic, luminous beings who sang them into existence. But the planets and their creators vanished from Space millions of years before Althesal’s time. Although no empirical evidence of their existence has been found, Althesal, a Bio-Soul scientist, feels in her heart that the Aïdin Planets are somehow connected with the origin and the destiny of Humans.

The fortuitous discovery of planet Earth by the multi-galactic Union reignites her hopes, and those of everyone else, for the return of the Aïdin Planets — Earth has a remarkable bio-sphere, unmatched in the known worlds, and the planet is surrounded by a mysterious protective field. The evidence is compelling. The Union, however, is uncertain what to do with discovery. The archenemies of Humans, the alliance of The Others, arrived first in the Sol System. Claiming control of the planet risks renewed conflict with them. And something ominous from the ancient past appears to be happening in the system. Will Earth’s mystery be ignored and the planet left to its fate?

Althesal could easily procure a craft and travel to Earth, but her people, the Thelians, play by the rules of the Union. It may be too risky for her to travel alone given the forces at play in the Sol System. She must find a way to decipher Earth’s mystery, knowing in her heart that it will alter the destiny of her people, and of all Galactic Humans.

An epic journey then begins for all who hear The Call of the Aïdin Planet.
