The Age of Legends

From the mists of Time, across the vast scales of Space in the Local Group of Galaxies, clothed as stories, tales and plays, an Age of Legends speaks of the earliest times of the sentient races, when Humans hadn’t yet made their appearance.

But before that Age, an even earlier age left its mark in our Universe. Of those more remote times only the faintest memories remain. They whisper of Beings so mighty and so different from us that we don’t have a proper way to describe them. They were Primordial Light itself, and Lords of Mind. Pure energy clothed them, and they felt at home in the expanses between galaxies and between stars. It was them who gave order to Space as we know it today, and who initiated the many processes we call ‘the natural order’ and ‘the natural laws’. Appropriately, the ancient lore calls them “Åh” — meaning, ‘the Breath that creates’.

When the Age of Legends arrived, with the appearance of self-conscious sentient beings, the Åh took upon themselves to teach and guide them. They were truly infant collectives of bio-soul beings with an unlimited yet unrealized potential, a reason for which the Åh called them, ‘Young Ones’ — hence the name “Young Races” applied since then in galactic lore and galactic history to all the sentient races with bio-souls, including Humans. As they matured, the Åh taught them the nature of The One Source of All, the origin and nature of the Universe, the development and use of Mind, natural science, the mastery of natural laws, Space traveling, and the creation and use of languages, among other subjects. And with these teachings and guidance the Young Races emerged from their infancy, flourished and came to know each other, establishing inter-planetary and inter-stellar cultural exchanges and commerce.

That historical period in our Local Group of Galaxies was truly the time of ‘Eden’, and for millions of our years, growth, harmony and prosperity characterized everyone’s life. In the eyes of the Åh, ‘the Young Ones’ were truly flourishing into the fullness of their potential.

The Universe, however, had more plans for the Young Races. It was thus that, among those races still being born in that Age, a new race of sentient beings appeared whose nature set them apart from the others for the reason that they could sing — Yes! until that time no one had the capacity to make the harmonic vocal sounds we call “singing” and to have the feelings to give life and color to songs. But not only could this new race sing, their songs and their imagination were so powerful that with them they brought into existence new worlds unlike others — worlds where dreams and visions of a rare beauty were bestowed upon those who visited them, and where psychological and physical transformations were experienced. It was thus that when those worlds were discovered, the others of the Young Races were delighted to visit them, and frequently they did.

“Aïdin Planets”, the Åh named those worlds — meaning, ‘song-made planets’ — and they too visited them, marveling at their beauty and transforming power, and at the nobility and friendliness of their creators.

The appearance of the Aïdin Planets gave thus a renewed impulse to the Young Races, accelerating their growth into a fuller potential and instilling in them something they lacked — an aesthetic sense, or the attraction for beauty, color and proportion. For millions of years this flourishing continued in peace and harmony for all.

Alas, those idyllic times weren’t going to last forever. The Aïdin Planets also called the attention of a primeval Dark Power from beneath Space, who already felt threatened by the appearance and the progress of the Young Races. Events were then unleashed by that Darkness that deeply changed the lives of the Young Races and of the Åh. Even though those events took place hundreds of millions of years ago, they have affected the history of our Earth since the earliest times of our Humanity.
